The Go-To Cleanse to Give Your Body a Head Start Before Spring
- Posted on: Mar 15 2017
Springtime is both exciting and scary because it’s a wake-up call that it’s almost time to squeeze your body into a bikini— no matter how in shape you are. To give your body a bit of a boost before springtime, consider doing an all natural cleanse to help you lose a little weight and rid your body of toxins. With so much bizarre cleanses online, however, it can be hard to know which ones are good for you and which ones will just make you irritable and hungry. Luckily, we at York Yates’ office have one go-to cleanse that will give you healthy results without making you starve. Read on to learn more.
What one of the hardest parts about this cleanse is that you should smoke cigarettes or drink any alcohol. If you are a fairly consistent drinker, this may be an especially hard part of the cleanse for you, but it will be rewarding. By giving your liver a break from alcohol, you can help to cleanse it and get rid of any toxins that have built up.
No Processed Sugar
Learn to read the labels on the foods that you are eating— you may be surprised at how many foods you eat contain sugar. To help your blood sugar and metabolism, don’t eat any processed sugar while on your cleanse— even if it’s in something like yogurt or spaghetti sauce. You can, however, have all-natural sugars like honey and fruit.
Only White Meat
If you are a meat-eater, during this cleanse only eat white meats like turkey and chicken. Low in fat and high in protein, a diet without red meat and rich in white meat will give you heart healthy and lean results.
Give It a Few Weeks
To make sure that you are getting the most out of your cleanse, give it at least two to three weeks. Although the first week of your cleanses is likely to be the hardest, once you get through it, it will be much easier from there.
Eating a diet rich in vegetables and low in sugar is a great way to cleanse your body of toxins and lose extra weight. To learn more about how you can lose weight through a cleanse, contact Dr. York Yates today!
